Executive Director: The Rev. Ethan Carlson
Ethan has served as Executive Director since July of 2018. He and his wife (Natasha) live in Kigali, Rwanda, sent as missioners from the Church of Redeemer (Highwood, Illinois). Ethan has his bachelor’s in business - social entrepreneurship and a theological master’s from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (with an emphasis in intercultural studies). He was ordained a deacon in Kigali Diocese and as a priest in Gasabo Diocese (Anglican Church of Rwanda).
Before coming to Rwanda, Ethan worked in higher education and served on the vestry at his home church. He has been part of RMP since the earliest stages, then served on the board as treasurer and chairperson before the appointment to his current role. He works closely with Archbishop Mbanda out of the provincial office so that RMP can be a valuable service to ACR and nurture healthy, mutual, and missional relationships. Ethan, Natasha, and their daughter worship at Holy Trinity Cathedral, where Ethan leads the English Service.
